Acupuncture really is a hot topic right now. Everywhere I look there are features, case studies, articles and research findings - not just in journals but on the news, on line, in glossy mags and weekend supplements.
This month Zest have a prominent feature on acupuncture - you can read it here.
The feature talks about what acupuncture can help with (specifically mentioning nausea, vomiting, fertility, IVF and osteoarthritis), how the NHS recommend it as a first-line treatment for lower back pain, and how to find a licensed acupuncturist.
It also asks the common question "Does acupuncture hurt?" Acupuncture needles are the same width as a human hair and clients often describe the needle sensation as a tingling or dull ache. In fact, in my experience most clients find acupuncture relaxing rather than painful so don't let that put you off!!
